Part-time Compact programme

Next to our Full-time programme (FT), we offer Part-time Compact programme (PTC), both being four-year studies. The content of the PTC programme, its study load and intensity are comparable to the FT programme. You are therefore expected to have time-management and organisational skills that enable you to augment compact class hours by autonomous study during the remaining time in the week.

One of the few part-time BA photography programmes offered in Europe, it’s an exciting opportunity for students with an independent drive and lived experiences who would want to study photography next to other commitments (like work or family) that only allow two-days per week commitment to classes. This can often be the case for students who are already working in the photography field but would like to transform their work into a creative practice.

By the time of graduation, PTC programme students develop a self-directed artistic photography practice just as their full time peers.

Most of PTC programme classes are scheduled on Mondays and Tuesdays. At the beginning of each academic year, you receive a Year Planner with additional dates for workshops and extra-curriculum events that you will need to be available on (approximately ten extra days per study year). In Years 3 and 4 some classes are combined with FT classes.

All information on the Study Profile, Programme Description and How to Apply tabs applies both to FT & PTC programmes, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
