Tuition fees BA and MA study programmes 2024-2025

The amount of the tuition fees depends on conditions including your nationality, your degree in Dutch Higher Education, whether you study full-time or part-time and the year of your enrolment.

The statutory tuition fee applies only to students who do not have a Dutch bachelor or master degree and who have an EEA nationality (EEA is incl. NL), or the Swiss or Surinam nationality, and for non-EEA students with a legally registered EEA-partnership or asylum status.

Full-time studies

The statutory tuition fee for full-time studies is determined each year by the Ministry of Education.
For 2024-2025 the statutory tuition fee is set at €2.530.

Part-time studies

The rate of the statutory tuition fee for part-time studies has been aligned to the rate of the statutory tuition fee for the full-time studies (by the Supervisory Board since the academic year 2017-2018).

The fees for students from outside the EEA and for students from The Netherlands or another EEA country who already have a Dutch bachelor's or master's degree are set by the Executive Board.

Regarding the policy regarding all tariffs Institutional tuition fee, the Management Team of the University of the Arts The Hague has decided that from academic year 2023-2024 onwards, all fees will be indexed annually.

The tariffs of the Institutional, course and contract tuition fee will annually follow the same indexation as that of the government’s determined Statutory tuition fee rate. The Statutory tuition fee rate will be published annually, for the following academic year, in the “Staatscourant”. Based on this, the other fees will also be calculated for the following academic years and published internally.

More information about the institutional tuition fee can be found on the website of the University of the Arts The Hague.

You set up a direct debit authorization: If you have a bank account with an IBAN number in an EU country or in a country connected to the SEPA network, you can issue an authorisation via Studielink.

This means that you can set up a direct debit payment to allow the University of the Arts The Hague to deduct the fees from your account or the account of someone else, e.g. your parents, on the agreed payment date(s). You can choose for a single direct debit to pay your tuition fees all at once, or for payment in eight instalments.

Setting up a direct debit via Studielink is only possible if you have a bank account in the countries mentioned above.

If your bank is in another country, you’ll need to pay the entire balance in one go. Transfer the entire amount by yourself by direct bank transfer. Always mention your family name, student number and date of birth.
