Tuition fees for students re-enrolling in their bachelor’s or master’s programme at the KABK

The amount of the tuition fees depends on conditions including your nationality, your degree in Dutch Higher Education, whether you study full-time or part-time, and the year of your enrolment.

Re-enrolment refers to the resumption of the original study programme.

The national government and the Ministry of Education (OCW) intend to provide financial support for students, due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. They will make money available to reduce the tuition fees for the academic year 2021-2022. The University Council (CMR-HdK) has approved the tuition fee rates. The proposal from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science has yet to be approved in the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Please note that the institutional tuition fee may change as from September 2021 onwards due to Dutch law.

The statutory tuition fee for full-time studies is determined each year by the Ministry of Education. For 2021-2022 the statutory tuition fee is set at €2,168. With the discount following the National Education Agreement (Nationaal Programma Onderwijs), the fee will be €1,084.

The statutory tuition fee applies only to students who do not have a Dutch bachelor or master degree and who have an EEA nationality (EEA is incl. NL), or the Swiss or Surinam nationality, and for non-EEA students with a legally registered EEA-partnership or asylum status.

The fees for students from outside the EEA and for students from The Netherlands or another EEA country who already have a Dutch bachelor or master degree, are set by the Supervisory Board.

Read more about the institutional tuition fee on the website of the University of the Arts The Hague.

You set up a direct debit authorization: If you’ve a bank account with an IBAN number in an EU country, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Monaco or San Marino, you can set up a direct debit payment to allow us to deduct the fees from your account on the agreed dates.
This can be done via Studielink. You can choose to pay your tuition fees all at once, or in eight instalments. Setting up a direct debit via Studielink is only possible if you have a bank account in the countries mentioned above.

If your bank is in another country, you’ll need to pay the entire balance in one go. Transfer the entire amount by yourself by direct bank transfer. Always mention your family name, student number and date of birth.
