The city

The Hague is a seaside city with a rich cultural heritage and international appeal. It’s home to the Dutch royal family and the country’s government, to leading institutions such as the International Criminal Court, the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons and the International Court of Justice, as well as 30,000 students, making the third largest city in the Netherlands an important one for both local and international students.

The unique combination of city and beach makes The Hague a pleasant place to live, in addition to its rich diversity in shops, cafes and restaurants, and nightlife.

Transportation

Transportation to and from The Hague couldn’t be easier with the Central Station just a few minutes walk from the academy building. Schiphol Airport, Rotterdam Airport and the city of Amsterdam are all within 30 to 40 minutes train rides. The city’s bus and tram systems are just as easy to navigate, and cycling is the preferred mode of transport.
