Educational Instructors Computer Workshop (0.27 - 0,8 FTE)

What will you do?
- Contribute to (practical) education, for example, by providing instructions;
- Guide, advise and support students on sometimes complex technical issues and/or research especially in the area of desktop publishing (DTP);
- Contribute to the development of educational materials, such as tutorials;
- Manage, maintain and administer the workshop equipment together with the computer workshop team.
Your profile:
- You have experience and can handle computer, graphics, print software including the Adobe Creative Cloud applications on Mac and Windows operating systems at an advanced level;
- You are good at transferring knowledge and skills, affinity with teaching and instructing is a plus;
- You are critical and enterprising and seek the limits of this field of expertise;
- You have experience with DTP, knowledge of Blender/ Cinema 4D/ CAD is a plus;
- You can take responsibility, keep an overview during busy periods and remain service oriented;
- Since it is part-time job, a job within the discipline is a plus
- You hold a Bedrijfshulpverlening diploma or are willing to obtain one.
About us
The Royal Academy of Art (KABK) forms together with the Royal Conservatoire (KC) the University of the Arts, The Hague. We offer Hbo bachelor and master education, as well as preparatory courses. There is an intensive collaboration with Leiden University: students can take electives on both sides, there is a PhD program and a double degree program will soon start. The University of the Arts is located at two locations in the centre of The Hague.
The computer workshop is open to students from all departments and knowledge levels. It is a place where students can experiment with equipment and create designs in both 2D and 3D using a broad range of software. Students can print in both small and large format. In addition, the computer workshop works closely with the multimedia workshop to provide students with a comprehensive digital experience.
What do we offer you?
The contract hours for these positions can be discussed and vary from 0,27 until 0,8 FTE. Weekdays, evenings and or Saturdays are possible to make it beneficial for everyone.
It’s a dynamic position with plenty of room for your own input and plenty of opportunities to continue to develop yourself. The salary is up to €3,631.83 gross per month according to scale 7 of the Cao on a full-time basis. It is a structural position, starting with a oneyear contract. The Cao-Hbo has a generous leave scheme, 8% vacation allowance and 8.3% year-end bonus. You can also participate in health insurance and/or disability insurance on favorable terms.
