Art and Design Research Practices is an initiative by the Lectorate Design of the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK), aiming to identify and share a range of research methods practiced at KABK that use the tools, approaches, and capacities of art and design to create and surface new knowledge.
The Lectorate Design launches the first edition of its Art and Design Research Practices initiative by exploring the research method of walking from a design perspective.

Public space and landscape designers Krijn Christiaansen and Cathelijne Montens (KCCM) who teach field research in the bachelor programme
Walking as a research method in art and design will be further explored and presented on the website of the Lectorate Design, including interviews with practitioner-tutors; essays; exemplars of tutor and student projects that use the method; exemplars of assignments; reading lists and a glossary of terms connected to the method.
