During the fall semester of 2017/2018, the Lectorate Art Theory & Practice offers two courses taught by PhDArts doctoral candidates, inspired by and building on their respective PhD research projects.

The course Art and food: political dimensions and artistic possibilities of food, taught by Thalia Hoffman, encourages students to rethink the practical and conceptual role of food in the political and artistic realm and to explore aspects of cooking, eating and feeding in their artistic practice.

In the course Spoilsport: affinities between sports and visual and performing arts, taught by Riccardo Giacconi, students are invited to construct a standpoint on questions related to the relationship between sports and contemporary culture and to develop their take on the subject into new work.
