With sincere apologies for the short notice, we hereby let you know that we cancel this symposium. The reason is the turmoil that the Dutch art sector, art academies and KABK itself have endured in the past week after impactful media publications about inappropriate behavior. KABK was particularly involved because a prominent Dutch artist named in the publications, is a former student of ours. This all has led to a myriad of reactions and questions and triggered a hefty discussion in the Netherlands and also at KABK. This discussion most likely could impact the event tomorrow, potentially overshadowing the purpose: a day of learning and exploring the topics as scheduled.

We apologise for any inconvenience this late cancellation might cause. It has been a difficult and disappointing decision, but the safety and wellbeing of all students, speakers and audience at the event are our highest priority. We hope to re-schedule this event.
