18/05/2017 - Studium Generale Lecture - Sef interviewed by Joeri Woudstra

In an attempt to give new perspective to the contemporary art scene, Joeri Woudstra invites a mystery guest to react on the artistry behind a more mainstream and music driven culture. Being a pop musician in 2017 doesn’t necessarily mean your success is based on big commercial companies anymore. The artist invited, confirms that your identity thrives on the creatives you surround yourself with.

Not unlike (American rapper) Lil B’s famous University (including New York University) based lectures, this lecture will be giving the artist in question a stage to express himself in whatever way he pleases.

For this lecture we invite music artist Sef, – Yousef Gnaoui (Amsterdam, 22 juni 1984). He is a Dutch music artist and rapper. With several Dutch music groups he got well known; The Partysquad, Dio en Sjaak and The Opposites. He is also member of the rap group Flinke Namen. He just released his new album Excusez Moi. He works together with several other dutch rapper and pop musicians as Bokoesam, Faberyayo, Glen Faria, Aafke Romeijn, Dio and Yung Nnelg. And works for the label Top Notch, which is known as a hip-hoplabel but also creates books, soundtracks etc. for a wide range of music artist.
