Performance ‘Dignidad’


As part of the opening of the exhibition ‘Dignidad’. Artists’ books by María Verónica San Martín in Museum Meermanno, the KABK hosts the performance ‘Dignidad’ followed by a discussion on Friday 20 September 2019.

The work of the multidisciplinary Chilean (book) artist María Verónica San Martín shows a passionate involvement with the recent political past of her native country Chile. The years of the dictatorship of Pinochet (1973-1990) and its long lasting effects on present day society play a prominent role in her work.

Prior to the opening of the exhibition at Museum Meermanno, the performance ‘Dignidad’ and an informal discussion will take place at the KABK from 14.30 to 16.00.

The exhibition ‘Dignidad’. Artists’ books by María Verónica San Martín can be visited at the Museum Meermanno from 21 September 2019 to 5 January 2020.

This exhibition is part of the series ‘Revolutionary books’ organized by the House of the book, a cooperative venture between the National library of the Netherlands and Museum Meermanno.
