Open Studios Interior Architecture & Furniture Design (at the KABK)

The Interior Architecture & Furniture Design department organises 'OPEN STUDIOS', introduction afternoons, where prospective students are given the opportunity to visit the department prior to their enrolment, and have their portfolio reviewed or get portfolio advice. It’s a great opportunity to receive answers to specific questions and get a first-hand impression of the studios, facilities and the Academy!

The 'Open Studio' on Friday 26 November is fully booked.

The introduction afternoon starts at 13.45 hrs with a guided tour. Two first year students will pick you up from the reception, located at the main entrance of the Academy, and will show you around the department and the workshop facilities.

The tour will finish with a Q&A with the coordinators of the Interior Architecture & Furniture Design department where you can ask questions. Afterwards, you’ll work on a short assignment with one of our tutors. During this session you can also have your portfolio reviewed or get portfolio advice.

Due to corona measures, the number of available places is limited. Therefore, we ask you to come the OPEN STUDIO alone. A coronavirus entry pass using the CoronaCheck app on your mobile phone is required.

The health and safety of our students, staff and visitors always comes first. The KABK follows the advice of the RIVM and the Dutch government. Please do not visit the academy if you have cold symptoms (a blocked or runny nose, sore throat, slight cough, a fever, or raised temperature and/or shortness of breath).

In case of tightened corona measures, participants will be notified by e-mail on any changes to the OPEN STUDIO program.
