Online Open Day: Master Industrial Design

Designing meaningful and durable products is the foundation of the two-year Master Industrial Design (MID) at the KABK. The focus lies on creating critical designs of social relevance, without losing track of the technical aspects of Industrial Design.

During this programme you will become proficient in converting your vision and opinions on this world towards spatial designs. These could be unique objects, mass produced objects, digital applications, or an innovative material. In addition you will study the relation between object and human and research the impact of products and manufacturing processes in a social, cultural, economic, and ecological context.

Along with practical education you will study theory and develop communication skills in order to be fully prepared for the professional field. During the programme you will expand your network through contacts from teachers and other design professionals, enabling you to start your own design studio.

Additionally there are many possibilities to get started at an international design consultancy firm or manufacturing industries.
