On 17 February the EYE film museum puts the spotlight on a new generation of curators and artists during the annual Researchlabs. Students from eight art academies and universities will present a programme of new work, remixes of films or short historical avant-garde films from EYE’s collection.
The academies and universities participating in this edition of EYE's Researchlabs are: the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK), St. Joost Academy, Gerrit Rietveld Academy, the faculty of Media Studies of the University of Amsterdam, Piet Zwart Institute, Sandberg Institute, Leiden University: Curating Film and Video Course and the VjAcademy Amsterdam.
Seven students of the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK) present a one-hour programme entitled ’Selling your Soul to the Devil' in this new edition of EYE’s Researchlabs 2018.

This is a sacrifice, a promise from us to you, to be great artists, create an astonishing programme, and become legends. We assure you a great time. You will encounter some high-ranking demons, a glimpse of the cyborg future, octopuses, a Russian army and a couple watching TV.

Has Burger King got anything to do with the taking of our soul? Can the artistic gene itself be the devil? These are questions that will be addressed in this piece with a filling of curated material, a short movie with a couple watching TV in The Hague.
