KABK Design / Research Club #3

FOR WHOM: For tutors, heads, (research) staff, workshop supervisors and PhD candidates from the KABK and Leiden University involved in research in and through design-related disciplines.

The third meeting of the KABK Design / Research Club - a forum for researchers from the KABK and Leiden University involved in research in, and through, design-related disciplines - takes place on Friday May 24, 2019. The meeting will be introduced and led by Alice Twemlow, lector Design at the KABK and Associate Professor at Leiden University’s Academy of Creative and Performing Arts (ACPA).

The aim is to identify and nurture emergent and developing research projects, share findings and best practices, and create a network of potential collaborators or mentors. In addition, during this special themed edition of the Design / Research Club, we are looking for projects to feature on the new Design Lectorate website.

Please note, there is no audience at Design / Research Club. All members are participants!

LECTORATE DESIGN: DESIGN AND THE DEEP FUTURE

The Lectorate Design, headed by Alice Twemlow, aims to surface, nurture and promote a robust design-focused research culture within the KABK and via the channels that connect KABK and Leiden University, with a particular emphasis on the relationship between design and time.
