Under the central thread of (Re)setting, running through the Rewire 2020 programme, this year's programme of concerts, interdisciplinary performances, projects, installations and screenings examine the way humans and sound relate to changing environments. In an era defined by man’s interaction with nature and advancing technological developments, (Re)setting, responds to new listening experiences, urbanisation, the changing rural landscape and the ecological crisis.

Find below an overview of KABK alumni and their performances in the lineup of this year's edition of Rewire festival:

Embassy of the North Sea
From music of the forest to the unexplored sounds of the sea, Rewire 2020 presents the sound expedition ‘Hearing Like a Herring’, developed by sound artist Harpo ’t Hart, radio-maker Jesper Buursink and artist Xandra van der Eijck (alumna Master ArtScience 2011 & BA Graphic Design 2008). Under the label 'Embassy of the North Sea', this intervention at Scheveningen harbour and beach features stories from experts, scientists, and local residents with the aim to present new undersea listening perspectives.

No Patent Pending
Rewire 2020 hosts the 39th edition of iii’s ‘No Patent Pending’ series, a nomadic performance series presenting radical interdisciplinary practices that engage with sound, image, space and the body. Artist, composer and researcher in the field of sound, space and interaction and former co-head of the ArtScience Interfaculty Edwin van der Heide will perform ‘LSP’ (laser sound performance), a composed spatial experience in this edition of ‘No Patent Pending’.
