Graduating students BA Fine Arts, invite you to their pre-exam show
Since exhibitions have been scarce over the last two years we are in absolute delight to welcome you to the opening of AS IS, WHERE IS the first group exhibition of 48 graduating students from the Fine Arts department of the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (class of 2021-2022).
We are an enormous bunch from various parts of the world, working from three sections (Autonomous, Painting & Printmaking, and Sculpture) all with our own interests, skills, working processes, and approaches. Our work will soon fill the empty building of the Verheeskade 321.
"As Is" is defined in the Cambridge dictionary to describe the state something is in at the present time.
We imagine "As Is" to imply an attitude that could be seen as frankness, raw, or perhaps unapologetic, to whatever is being presented. We believe that this candidness reflects how our exhibition came to be, in spite of all the obstacles that occurred throughout the process of realizing this exhibition.
The official opening of the exhibition will take place on Friday the 10th of December 2021 at 13.00.
AS IS, WHERE IS will be open for visits all weekend.
