The KABK follows the travel advice of the Dutch Government and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs (World map travel advice with color codes per country).

Traveling to/from and within the Netherlands

Please adhere to this checklist with status per country. You will find all relevant information on self-quarantine upon arrival in the Netherlands and for whom it applies on this government website.

If you are travelling to the Netherlands after staying in an area where the risk of coronavirus infection is very high you must self-quarantine for 10 days. This quarantine requirement applies even if you have proof of vaccination or proof of recovery. If you get tested on day 5 you might be able to shorten the quarantine period. You may be exempt from the mandatory quarantine requirement depending on the purpose of your trip.

Do the Quarantine Travel Check and see what you need to arrange or do when you travel back to the Netherlands from abroad. For example, whether home quarantine, a negative test and/or a quarantine declaration are necessary.

The increased infection rate in the Netherlands could have consequences for travelling abroad. Other countries may impose extra measures on Dutch travellers because they view the Netherlands’ increased infection rate as a cause for concern.

Each country can set its own requirements, so you should always check the latest travel advice before you leave on (available in Dutch only). Don't just look at the color coding of your destination: read the travel advice in full.

Excursions within the Netherlands can only take place as long as there is compliance to the RIVM guidelines. Departments are responsible for the arrangements of the excursions and communicate the details to their students.

Excursions outside the Netherlands will not be organized until further notice. Update for the academic year 2021-2022 will follow.
