They also have individual art practices, but their collaboration has led to films that are different to either solo practice. These meditative responses to art history, mythology, and the world, often take the work of other artists as a starting point for subjective explorations of identity, the idealized portrayal of women, and the violent work of colonization.

Rosalind Nashashibi and Lucy Skaer both studied at the Glasgow School of Art. Nashashibi now lives in London, and is a senior lecturer at Goldsmiths. Skaer lives in Glasgow and Lewis, and is a fine art lecturer at the Sandberg Institute, Amsterdam. They both exhibited as part of Scotland in Venice 2007 (Venice Biennale), and have both been Turner prize nominees.

Their collaborative films have been shown at S.M.A.K., Ghent (2019); Tate St Ives (2018); Tate Modern (2017); Documenta 14, Athens (2017); Musée Matisse, Le Cateaur-Cambrésis (2013); CA2M, Madrid (2012), and Spike Island, Bristol (2007).
