FITFULLY FIXED — Anne Kranenborg’s graduate collection “STATE OF TRANSITION” considers furniture to be in a constant state of fluidity, awaiting the moment in which a person provides context for the object. When objects are stripped of their context, all the biased ways in which we are used to approach them are no longer relevant or applicable.

For RESET, Kranenborg continues her research into subtle activations of overlooked structures. By designing flexible interventions that obstruct chosen thresholds and corridors in the apartment, she stresses our daily interactions with our architectural surroundings.

Underlying structures become visible and invite the viewer to actively perceive and explore — to redefine the known.

Anne Kranenborg graduated from the Interior Architecture & Furniture Design department of the Royal Academy of Art The Hague in 2015.
