Exhibition with new works by five young artists, inspired by material from the archive of Sound and Vision (Beeld en Geluid).

Sound and Vision started the project Open Media Art in the spring of 2016, in cooperation with the Creative Industries Fund NL. Following an open call, five young artists -i.a. our alumnae Anna Klevan (Photography) and Tereza Ruller (Graphic Design)- were commissioned to create new contemporary stories based on the collection/archive of Sound and Vision.

This collection is publicly available for creative re-use through the platform The project allows the makers to find innovative, interdisciplinary concepts that enhance the creative value of heritage collections. During the process, the young creators were supported by both specialists from Sound and Vision as well as by external experts in the field of (online) media culture. The process of the individual authors is documented at in order to provide more insight into the design choices of the creators.
