The AR Lab of the Royal Academy of Art has cooperated with Studio Maaike Roozenburg on the Smart Replicas project for Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen. Graphic Design students have used Augmented Reality Techniques to design their new versions of antique tea cups from the Boijmans collection. This project will be presented during the annual design fair Object in Rotterdam to be held from 7 till 10 February.

Object Rotterdam is the fair for contemporary design and will be held during Art Rotterdam at the Netherlands Architecture Institute / The New Institute, situated at Museumpark 25, Rotterdam. The design fair presents the most current developments in Dutch and international design. It is a platform for the latest limited editions and one-offs from well-known and upcoming designers working in different design disciplines and with various materials. Object Rotterdam is thé place where the cutting edge between design, crafts, fashion, architecture and art becomes evident and a must see for collectors, professionals and other design minded people.
