Interior Architecture Event

Twenty students of the department of Interior Architecture and Furniture Design will this year take part in the graduation exhibition of the Royal Academy of Arts. For one week they will show their work. Prior to the general opening of the exhibition, a Press Preview will be held on June 29th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

 

Students present in this group exhibition of work both individually as its own interpretation of the design tasks. The exhibition is divided into three groups, each with its own project. Below is a summary of the three groups.
Visions of a new arts center for Today
The students of full-time training Interior Design present their proposals for a new space for the arts center Hague Present. Middle of the dynamics of the city makes this Present House for visitors, artists and local residents a new experience of art possible.
Future for empty churches
What future have a church without worshipers? Students of part-time Interior Design course designed innovative and surprising new functions for the vacant Adventist Church on the North West Buitensingel in The Hague.

The project One piece a day, Maarten Schenkeveld in two months, a collection of furniture made almost thirty.

Prior to the graduation exhibition the students will present their work during a special preview for press and guests.

In this group exhibition students present both individual work and their own interpretation of the exam assignments. The exhibition is divided into three groups, each with its own project. Below is a summary of the three groups.

Visions of a new arts center for Heden
The students of full-time training Interior Architecture present their proposals for a new space for the arts center Heden in The Hague.
In the middle of the city dynamics this Heden House allows for a new experience of art, for visitors, artists and local residents.

What is the future have for churches without churchgoers? Students of the part-time programme Interior Architecture have designed innovative and surprising new functions for the vacant Adventist Church on the North West Buitensingel in The Hague.

Furniture collection
With his project One piece a day, Maarten Schenkeveld has made a collection of almost thirty pieces of furniture in two months time.
