Jip Hilhorst wins pitch The Perfect Failure

At Thursday the 19th of April Studium Generale focused on The Perfect Failure.
Uncertainty as the foundation for art, doubt as a starting point: it’s not possible to cut out uncertainty and only to keep the certainty. Doubt is not only a problem, you can also use it. Failure in art, failing is accepted, but artists rather don’t speak about it. They prefer to hide their failure.
A pitch for The Best Failure was held during Studium Generale. Students were invited to present their best unsuccessful work or a piece of work inspired by failure. Jury members Hans Aarsman and Wendela van der Hoeven handed out the trophy for The Best Failure to Jip Hilhorst.
