Christie van der Haak wins Lifetime Achievement Award from Heden

Fine Arts Award

On February 3rd teacher to the Fine Arts part time department and alumna of the KABK Christie van der Haak received the Heden Life Time Achievement Award. The award was handed to Christie by director to Heden Jacko Brinkman.

The Heden Lifetime Achievement Award is an art award handed out biannually to an artist who has contributed to the development of Heden as an art institution. The prize functions a tribute to an increasing group of artists delivering high quality work which has limited visibility in exhibitions and art projects.

Christie is not only a valued teacher students may also know her from the cultural excursions by ” ‘t Hart”. Christie organizes field trips to special cultural events for students, alumni and teacher of the KABK. Christie is praised for her commitment to the academy by her students and colleagues, as was noted by the jury. 

The KABK congratulates Christie on winning this prize! In addition to the prize consisting of € 6000 Christie is invited to compose an exhibition and a website or publication.
