The Hague is a city with a remarkable amount to offer. It is one of the greenest cities in Europe, well-situated, buzzing with activity and richly endowed with recreational facilities. It is a good place to live and work and a great place to study. With a more than lively nightlife, fair-priced eateries and Scheveningen beach, it lends itself as the perfect place to spend a year or more.

For centuries The Hague has been a city of diplomacy and international relations. United Nations organisations such as the International Court of Justice as well as European Union organisations such as Europol have their headquarters in or near The Hague. About eighty international companies and the headquarters of several multinational corporations are present in the city.

The Hague is also a place with a touch of class, not at least as the residence of Queen Beatrix and her family.

The Haagse Hogeschool Sport Office (Bureau Hogeschoolsport) has the pleasure of welcoming international students for their sports programme. In their own sports accommodation as well in sports accommodations in- and outside The Hague they offer a varied and extensive programme of sports activities.

Besides the weekly programme you can also participate in a lot of courses and events the whole year through. To participate in this varied sports programme you have to purchase a sports- and/or a fitness card. You can apply at the HHS Sports Office, ground floor, room 0.72 in the Central Hall of the Haagse Hogeschool, Johanna Westerdijkplein 75 in The Hague.

Opening hours: Monday till Wednesday 11.00 – 14.00 hrs
Thursday 14.00 – 17.00 hrs
Friday closed

Together with a subscription form you have to bring:
- A recent passport photo
- Student card or certificate of enrolment

The Haagse Hogeschool is located nearby the railway station ‘Holland Spoor’.

INTERACCESS is an organization for- and set up by international students of The Hague. The organization was a new initiative of students and staff from The Hague University. For the first time all international students in The Hague are considered and approached as one group.
